I've posted this on here before, but I'll post it again. Probably the most rational blog post I've ever read regarding the Glock 19 vs Glock 17 debate:
http://wilsondefense.########.ca/2011/07/glock-17best-of-breed.html
For Canadians without concealed carry permits (99% of us), most of the arguments we read regarding concealment are moot. I've shot both, and my mitts are big enough that I find the G19 G4 simply UNCOMFORTABLE to grip and shoot. So, I bought the G17.
Yes I agree with this. Also you cannot carry in Canada so why bother with the glock 19 really?
Best alternative for a full compact us military type handgun is the sig m11-a1 that Questar is bringing in. Sig Canadian length non threaded barrel with 15 Rd mags pinned to 10.
Got one, I did not care for full size P226, didn't care much about Sig in general really...until I got one of these, fits me like it was a part of my hand...sold my glock 17 after that, the glock was a great tool, but this is is just
the 106mm barrels offered by Lone Wolf Barrels stick out less out of a G19 that the extended barrel out of the Sig 229.
If no one in Canada has one, get a G19 from Irunguns, buy a 106mm barrel and they can do the switch and registration prior to importation into Canada.
Questar used to offer G19's with Lone Wolf Barrel.
The G19 is a very size efficient gun.
What is the point in getting the glock 19 gen 4 over the glock 17 gen4 when you have to get the thread barrel anyways?
I have small hands so the g19 feels more comfortable compared to the 17. I'll prob end up with a 17 at some point also.
The point is that the G19 feels very different in the hand than the G17. If you have small hands the G19 is much, much better. The G17 always felt like a 2x4 in my hands where my G19 feels nearly perfect.
What threaded barrel? 106mm Lone Wolf barrel on mine:

+1, the G19 is way better in my hands as well.
