Hey there
I'm awaiting transfer papers for a beretta 92a1. The only thing that I don't like about the gun is the actual case. Is there a case I can but in Canada that has the cutouts or the foam that I can do it myself? I've searched a few retailers but most have the eggcrate foam, which I don't want. A cutout for the gun and 2 or 3 magazines would be ideal

pelican 1400 is on sale @ vistek for 99.99. it can put 2 big revolvers or semi. price match it @ bestbuy which sells it @ 187.99. so you will get it for a little over 100 tax in. great deal

If you already have a hard case (not sure from reading the thread that this is what is being referred to), you could consider buying "Layered Foam Sheets" from Lee Valley tools (Mr. Google can give you the URL), search their site for the Layered Foam, or just foam.

I have this product in my Citori O/U hard case, my case to carry my BLR S/S takedown .308 when split, and my .357 and the case I carry my spotting scope inside to the range. Nice part about it is that you don't get those little lightweight/sticky pieces of foam entering the action or barrel, and you can cut it to a really precise fit. Plus it's cheap, especially if you already own a case - when it is fitted into the cut outs, it absolutely WILL NOT move, and you can accommodate the sights/scope/red-dot, etc.

For what it's worth. I've used it for a number of years, and will do so again as needed.

Mycasebuilder or casecruzer both make custom foam insert for all different size cases
