finding a standard 590A1

Hey there,

I'm looking to buy my first shotgun, and I like the idea of the 20" 590A1. I like the idea of the metal trigger guard, the heavy barrel, the bayonet lug and the military finish on it, but I cant seem to find a standard one anywhere. I don't want a pistol grip, or ghost ring sights, or a heat shield. I just want the basic model. I've searched every one of the sponsor websites and only Al Flathery's has it, but its sold out. Do they even bring these to Canada any more? Should I just be looking into a 500 instead?

those all have the ghost ring sights. Which seems to add about $100 onto the price

Heat shields come off , sell it on the EE , but a 20" 590 should have a heat shield for the classic look .

I have found the 20" bead sight 590A1 near impossible to find. I would recommend trying Irunguns US site. The regular 590 with the heat shield is much more available.

You have to put a custom order in with the distributor. Supposedly everyone wants ghost ring sights.

I have an 870, ksg and 18.5 590a1 with s and j mag tube extension.
If i had to choose one my mossberg would win hands down. Good luck with the hunt.

This is what you are looking for, the base 590A1 w/bead... you will have a tough time finding one unless you order somehow.

That's what I did back when the dollar was O.K.. #51660 were non-existent in Canada

OP may be better off buying a base model with GR sights that's in country right now than ordering a base w/bead, as the stock now would probably be cheaper due to our dollar sh!tting the bed the last couple months. Just a tip.

590A1 GRS are pretty good, by the way.
