Bootleg Inc is an off-shoot from Primary Weapon System (PWS), similar to ALG is an off-shoot of Geissele.

It has a picatinny rail at 12 o'clock and at 3, 6, 9 keymod holes... BUT the cool thing is at the end of the rail, "PicMod" sections that contains picatinny rail with keymod holes within them. MIND. BLOWN.

Oh that's not it. It uses the same patent-pending mounting system from BCM KMR.

The only negative thing about this is it will cost more than the BCM KMR due to the extra cost in machining.

i saw that and i think it is an interesting design. however i think they missed the boat by not doing it on all sides of the rail for the full length of the rail.

I think the changes they made overall to their MOD 2 rifles were smart, but aesthetically, I can't say I am a fan. It really looks like they tried to re-invent the wheel on this one. Granted they did manage to shave off a few ounces, but overall I can't say I like the look of the new rifles.

I have also noticed that they continually frown upon MLOK. They claim that none of their end users want it, but with Colt Canada saying the exact opposite, it makes me wonder.

Nevertheless, I think PWS makes great products and I do have several of them set aside for a custom build I'm working on.

i am speechless I dont know wtf I am looking at, its keymod, its picantiny, its some out of spec weird picantiny, theres some fish scales in there

Very smart idea, since majority of accessories like lights, bipod and slings are attached to the first 3 inches of the rail and having the slot recessed into the handrail like that means your accessories sits lot closer to give a much slimmer rifle.
