A couple of bayonets

One appears to be a unsharpened Ross bayonet with scabbard, the top one in the picture I can only say it is British. Any help on Identifying would be great.

British bayonet looks like a pattern 1888.

Ross bt has been sharpened.
Other is a Pattern 1888 MkI 2nd pattern for long Lee.

if it has been sharpened it was a piss poor job as it wouldn't cut through butter.

Do a google search mon ami! You'll find most everything on ebay and it's great in determining a baseline price point.

It was simply reshaped as per instructions.
The first shape was more like a blunt butter knife and didn't penetrate the thick miloitary woolen winter coats.
This is the second profile.

Neither of them are great and all pieces have some rust.

a couple of hundred bucks for both of them at best. NOT EACH.

As PP said, when referring to the Ross MkII bt sharpening in collector terms means that the point has been modified from the original profile. Unsharpened examples are scarce.

Worth noting since it hasn't been spelled out and there's room for misinterpretation:
Like PP said, it has been reprofiled, however, the reprofiling was done under orders at the front. The earlier models as PP said, had a very round tip profile. Earlier bayonets that never went to the front will sometimes still have this profile.

Once ground they end up looking like this, as yours does. Since they were done on grinders at the front, exact profile varies.

No idea on the metford bayo, but if there's no major damage to the Ross bayo and it's not too rusted, $100-$125
