Simon sleeve availability

Didnt BCM make a C8 replica? you could try googling that. If so, then maybe they exist. Alternatively, make friends with someone at a machine shop, get the specs you need, and have them make one. It actuallt surprises me that none of the canadian retailers/machine shops have produced a product like this.

Yes they did.

This is the BCM C8SFW. The Simon sleeve is slipped on the barrel. Crush washer and muzzle device hold it in place. It CAN be placed and removed by hand with not much force. Fit is tight but not press fit type.

You will have to turn down your barrel.

Thank you for your input Very nice pictures

That's not a Simon sleeve. That's a fake M203A1 sleeve. The SA15.7 has a real M203A1 sleeve just like the C8A3 for the CAF. It is machined from hardened steel to survive GL recoil and counter recoil without distortion. Likely won't matter to you, but the fake one is just for looks.

If the tolerance is poor it will affect your accuracy negatively. If the tolerances are tight enough and the sleeve is installed correctly it should enhance accuracy. You also need to turn your barrel down properly to avoid damage and consider having it phosphate again to avoid corrosion.

There are three sleeves depending on which rifle you are trying to clone. The true Simon sleeve is used by export countries that fire the Simon. There is also a proprietary suppressor sleeve for a certain type of suppressor.

I do like the look of SWF....For sure I'm not shooting beyond 100m thus accuracy isn't a major issue. But I am quite sure that a properly made and installed will give good accuracy. .

So anyone got the dimensions ? Does this device is protected by some patent ? ???
