Wow, that is insane! I bought mine 8 months ago for under $1000. The dollar difference is not that big, who is jacking up their prices that much?
I think some dealers are jacking up the prices on old stock based on replacement cost of new.
Maybeeeeeeeeeee...... I don't like the fruity checkering one them.

It's interesting the talk of higher prices. I called around looking for the 7mm08 model 70, all over Canada in fact..
Talked to well over ten dealers who had stock coming in ( unfortunately not the 7-08) and not one quoted me a higher price. Perhaps they would eventually go up.. But to jump from the $1000 tag to $1700 is a stretch.

I got my fwt 3 years ago now for $750. These new prices are getting crazy. I just got a shot show supergrade for $1200
