Well done and congratulations elimsprint !

I only see 3 other 10/22s on the list to have completed the 1/2" challenge. I am still trying with my 10/22.
Just so that other CGN members know; elimsprint has come very close to completing the challenge using this same rifle and bulk ammo, once he switched to SK Rifle Match it only took a few tries, he made it look easy.

You're too kind as usual and thanks for the ammo but until Underthegun puts me on the list I'm still a wanabe:)

I am going to try this...wondered if there was a thread for .22 LR and finally found it. Great thread and I think it should be sticky as well.

I did a little practice this weekend using Federal Game Shok ammo...not so good. I managed to get 2 out of 9 groups under the wire, just...I am using a BRNO Model 2 E and hope that I can achieve this with the stock rifle. That being said I am wondering if anyone could give me any pointers on tuning the trigger on this rifle? I understand this is possible...Any pointers on some better ammo for the CZ's would also be appreciated. I think my cheapy 3X9 Bushnell might not be that great for this either but I just received my scope for the hunting rifle I am building and may have to invest in some rings to try it on the .22, a 2.5X17 STAC!

More scope power the better,If the spring is like the CZ's you should beable to replace with a finer spring for less pull,Good ammo is a must try sk std plus.A good front rest and rear bag and lots of practice.

I see a lot of fancy "off shore" iron here, can I get in on this with a domestic brand (.17hmr to boot) and one piece of foreign borne (with "iron sights")? When the weather permits that is....

Just read the rules, I guess my .17 does not qualify...:(

Agreed. Have not completed this challenge yet but have made a few attempts. Premium ammunition is absolutely necessary, greater magnification tightened my groups, lightened trigger also tightened groups and I suspect that front/rear bags would improve my groups as well. I've been shooting from a bipod without a rear rest and executing a repeatable hold for each shot can be challenging.

ARRRGH! everytime I check in on this thread I go crazy.

I am making a promise to a bunch of internet strangers - I will get out to the range and try this. Looks like sooooo much fun! My CZ is up to the task, but am I?
