Where did you get the article for the Detonics and what was the date? I can find zilch/nada/bupkis on it on the net, aside from a passing reference on a Reddit thread. Ian at Forgotten Weapons has an article on the .45 Auto they made, but nothing on this. By the sound of it, perhaps only a promotional unit or two ever saw the light of day. Nearly as obscure as the .45 ACP Luger! (But at least 1 or 2 of those are known to exist.)

The first time I saw that gun was in a Gun Digest edition during the 80's. I'm thinking the 1985 annual? Pretty sure the article I found on line is the same or same author anyway, but it didn't have a date.
