Stupid post of the day: can a Vz.61 Skorpion be converted to NR?

Hmm... not sure the .32 ACP has enough oomph to clear an 18.5" barre land still have any zip?

It must be at least as good as the various black powder .32 fired from singleshots and lever actions back in the day. There was even .32 rimfire single shot rifles.
I'm sure it would have enough zip to put holes in cans at 50 yards.

Id be willing to throw down cash on a barrel if someone could make me one.

I (occasionally) shoot 32 ACP and 32 S&W Long out of a chamber insert out of a 20" barreled 30-06 Tikka, and they clear the barrel, but talk about a rainbow trajectory!! IMHO, putting a long barrel on a Skorpion would render it about as useless a teets on a bull.

It would be a hideous beast.
Maybe hide the barrel under a fake suppressor....

It would definitely work without the extra crap. Maybe if it had handguards that looked like an extension of the upper receiver instead of the fake suppressor, foregrip and optic, the fixed stock might work.

Otherwise, I'd rather have this:

Now that I think about it, if you took a Škorpion, added an 18.5+ inch barrel, FAL-type fixed stock and handguards, replaced the stock pistol sights with adjustable rifle sights and perhaps installed a more angled grip, you'd end up with a pretty nice rifle.
