Husqvarna Sporting Rifles #### - ALL MODELS!!!

I believe it's original and in excellent condition but I'm awaiting pictures to see exactly what it is and its overall condition. The price is ridiculous so I'll probably pass.

I found it in sweden. I've requested more pics. It looks like it might be a presentation model or grade V but I'm not sure because I've never seen what a grade V looks like. The asking price is 29,900 kronor. $4800. I'll see what it really is and see what kind of flexibility there is on the price.

I love the 1900s. I wouldn't say they're worth 4800$ but I know a 1900 in 358 Norma is pretty rare. Personally I think they're as good as if not better than sakos and tikkas of the same era.

I don't know how many are in Canada, I haven't seen too many. I would love to find a 1900 in 6.5x55 for myself and one in 264 Winchester mag and gift it to my dad.

He is still mad at himself for not special ordering one in 264 before he came to Canada.

NL hunter check out blocket.se as well. Click on "hela Sverige" which will search all of Sweden for you. I search for Husqvarna 1900 or Carl Gustaf 1900. There are a couple base model 1900s in 30-06 like the one in the link you provided for around 2900-5000 Swedish kronor.

I'm heading back to Sweden in summer to visit family and attend a wedding so I'm hoping our dollar climbs back up so I can pick up a few 1900s. I've phoned the police in Sweden to inquire about exporting from Sweden and it's a piece of cake. All you have to provide is proof that you are able to legally own the rifle in Canada. The Canadian side has some import paperwork but not too much.

To keep this thread alive here's a pic. This is my 7mm 1900 with a spare Monte Carlo standard stock that I refinished. It had the thin plastic buttplate that was cracked so I cut it and put this red pad on it after sanding, oiling and waxing the stock. Didn't spend too much time getting every bump and ding out of this stock as this is what it will wear in the field. This stock was bedded 40 years ago so I'm hoping it shoots nice.

The other grade III stock is still being refinished. Anyways, here she is, not the greatest grain but does have some nice striping.

Wait these can't be good!! There is no stupid camo and is that wood? I hear walnut isn't cool?
I like it, it's from a time when you hunted with a plaid wool coat or a Barbour jacket, no tree cams, or mossey oak underwear.

I'm a black rifle nut too, but there is something to be said about blued steel and nice wood. Maybe I'm just getting old

I travel to Norway every couple of years to visit family, there is a NOR K98 waiting for me there now. Paperwork in Norway is a bit stickier than Sweden, as for most things in Norway.

Question for Baribal: Were the lakelander rifles made with same action? I found out the lakelander patent was used to produce rifles at Kongsberg in Norway.

Do you have a kongsberg? My lakelander has the 9 lug bolt. I believe Varberger used 6 and 3 lugs dependent on model but I don't know how many lugs the kongsberg uses. They are the lakelander action, and many parts are interchangeable between the 3 brands.

Also check out torsbohandels.com they are one of the biggest gun stores in Sweden. They have a ton of good used rifles. I really want a Heym SR20 in 6.5x55 and tradex has one for $1600. They're a lot cheaper in Scandinavia.

Not sure I get your question right, but the original Lakelander were designed in Sweden and manufactured in Finland by TAP (Tampereen Asepaja), then, they were made in Sweden and went bankrupt, then, they were made in Noray by Kongsberg, both by the Lakelander and Kongsberg names then at the same time, by Varberger in Sweden.
The original Varberger had 9 lugs, it was changed to 6 and even three.

I knew there was a connection there somewhere, i did some further searching and found a post on another forum. Looks like bolt went from 9 to 6 to 3 lugs in order to reduce manufacturing costs. Thanks again Baribal. ;)
