Husqvarna Sporting Rifles #### - ALL MODELS!!!

I'll give the isopropyl alcohol a try, if I have to do a few more coats of oil after I'm ok with that. I just can't leave it as is. Looks like a one eyed drunk with cataracts finished it right now.

I never use commercial wax.... always pure warm beeswax and it doesn't produce such a shiny result, even when buffed.

Top 3000 Crown Grade
Second "Husky" H-5000
Third model 648
fourth a 4100 which would have worth more if left in 7X57...

To keep this thread alive here's a pic. This is my 7mm 1900 with a spare Monte Carlo standard stock that I refinished. It had the thin plastic buttplate that was cracked so I cut it and put this red pad on it after sanding, oiling and waxing the stock. Didn't spend too much time getting every bump and ding out of this stock as this is what it will wear in the field. This stock was bedded 40 years ago so I'm hoping it shoots nice.

The other grade III stock is still being refinished. Anyways, here she is, not the greatest grain but does have some nice striping.

That's a beauty Rob.

Agreed, only I consider them better than many in the same price range!

I have owned, shot, hunted with, and collected Husqvarna rifles since 1964. My first one was a Model 5000 "Husky" in 270 Winchester that I bought for less than $150. Put over 4000 rounds down the tube of that rifle, mostly woodchucks. Almost all were 130 gr Silvertips ahead of 62 gr of surplus H4831 that we bought for 50 cents a pound.

Traded it for a brand new vacuum cleaner for my wife some time after we moved to the Yukon, and it is still knocking over big game.

Still have one or two.....;)

Vacuum cleaners, wives, or rifles?

J/K Ted!!!

Quick question
Have 4100 with the Aluminum- alloy floor plate- trigger guard that scratched - worn from many years of hunting that need redoing. Any great tough paint or ?? that works good .
Thanks for your help

Spary can paint works, but it's far as being a permanent fix.
To get a definitive fix, you'll need to go either anodizing or ceramic based paint. I tried two-parts car paint, it works, too.

Arma Coat is yer friend when properly applied & cured. Very durable coating. My one has been worked hard and still looks primo after 5000+ rounds.
