Husqvarna Sporting Rifles #### - ALL MODELS!!!

Husky help please

Recently aquired this model 1600, was originally thinking of selling it but after cleaning it up and having a closer look and seeing the quality been thinking about keeping it. I already own a few swedish mausers m96 and on m96/38 in nice condition, that I absolutely love, makes it difficult to decide to sell.
Question is, what are these 1600's worth? Are they going up in price/value?
This one is in good clean condition with an excellent bore and its a 30-06 caliber, sporting a Japanese made 3-9x40 vintage scope with clear glass. Please give an approx. value if you can and any info, serial number is in the 287### range if that helps with dom
Thanks in advance!

This is a model 1640 Std, made in 1964. No, at the moment they're not going up in price, not the standard calibers, though, It worth about 450.00 $ to 500.00 $ and their going value depends a lot of new imports (of used guns). Some models / chambering brings more value, though.

The 1600 are the short barreld (520mm barrel, carbine, lightweight) versions while the 1640 is the long brreled ("Husky" H-5000 in 560mm and the standard 600mm).

There's a nice 8000 in 270 on the EE right now, except the guy is asking 1100. Looks like the same rifle that went for 700$ at the beginning of February.

Baribal,
Is there a guide to pinning down the model on the 1900 actioned rifles? I recently acquired a gustaf with a jewelled bolt, nice tiger striped wood, engraved floor plate and and barrel without open sites.
I should have never started reading this thread, as these Swedish rifles just keep showing up and I keep buying them.

Got pics? That'll help. What are the first couple digits of your serial #? Caliber?

The thing is that there is nothing by writing which will cover the three "phases" of the 1900 evolution. You have the "3" series - HVA made rifles, the "5" series - HVA and CG made parts, assembled at CG and finally the "6" series, which are CG made rifles...
Then, you have all the different models from the three periods. Your is probably a Grade III, but it can also be a previous variant. Provide your SN and possibly pics and I'll be able to tell you.

Once this snow melts and I can get my swedes out for a good picture in outdoor light, I will gladly take one.
As for the rifle in question it is a gustaf with a 6 serial number. It is a 3006.
The stock is of the same profile as one of my 5 serialed rifles, with the round foreend tip, rather than the slanted one of earlier.
The difference between the two is that the checkering on the later gun completely wraps around the forearm and the grip cap is glued on, not screwed as all the others are. The checkering also extends past the grip area.
It's definitely the best example of a 1900 that I own.
I do promise I will get you pictures once the snow melts of the collection. But for now I really want to know what this gun actually is

No worries.
It's definitely a Grade III

I was once asked what colour the sky was in my world, I answered ‘blued’. Husqvarna blued metal in fact…that’s how much I have grown to appreciate the old firesticks.

C’mon guys…let see your recent Huskys… got me a hankerin.

Now, if only DrWho would see fit to ‘unfriend’ his old 1600 in 7x57... ;)

Saw a few nice 1600 series at the Edmonton gun show this morning. Nothing in the 1900 action though unfortunately. Cabelas Edmonton also has a 1600 lightweight in 30-06 and it seems to be in decent condition but it has a crack at the tang and the previous owner removed the rear sight.
