Yes it's legal. Read the firearms act

I thought it just stated any older firearm designed to hold more than 5 in an internal magazine, clip or tube was exempt from the rule? I didn't see anything beyond that. Mosin's hold 5 rounds stock, don't they?

No limit on bolt action mags except if hunting only allowed 5. Rimfire no limits. Semi autos 5 unless using a pistol magazine that is marked as a pistol mag and it fits.

Pretty sure the 5 round limit is only for hunting with semi-autos in Alberta, as far as hunting regs. go. Bolt actions aren't mentioned as far as limits.

Those 10 round Archangel mags can be finicky when it comes to feeding. They take some figuring out and fitment.

Manual repeating firearms are not limited by their designed magazine capacity as long as the magazine is not designed for or made for a semi auto or automatic longarm. Manual repeating Longarms or carbines can use handgun magazines designed for handguns as long as they are still limited to 10 rounds.

Nope. Alberta has no mag limits for hunting with bolts, pumps, or levers. 5 rounds is only for semi centre fires. 3 rounds total capacity for any shotgun while hunting migratory game birds is a federal law.
