School me on what barrel to buy.

Thanks for all the info. I'm still as undecided as I was before though haha. I was thinking the Rainier was looking like a good option as it is in stock on a dealers site, but now I am kind of hesitant.

I see a site sponsor has a 14.5" Noveske. Wondering if i should snap it up. I am worried that when I am ready to put the barrel on there won't be any to be found lol.

Go with the Daniel Defense barrel, it is more than capable for anything you will ever ask it to do. With the number of
people claiming sub MOA barrel there sure haven't been a lot of entries in the sub MOA challenge thread.

For accuracy, there is only one choice, ATRS. I went with a 20 inch, 1 in 8 twist, 223 wyld chambered heavy barrel.

It aint cheap, but it is quality, built from a lilja blank.

Yeah I've been in contact with ATRS. It's going to end up being as much as the Noveske. They have Jury and Lilja blanks in stock I think. I wanted to go with a 1/8 twist but they only have 1/7 right now (which is fine) . I don't want to have to wait 2-5 months for a barrel is my big thing.

Well I think i am going to go with the DD barrel. Save a couple hundred bucks, and put it towards a good BCG+Bolt. Still undecided with 14.5 or 16" though.

The descriptions on wolverines website sucks, (or lack-thereof). What kind of barrel nut do they use? I am going free-float obviously. Do they come with a nut?

CTCS has some BCM for $70.

SaskatoonGunWorks has some scratch 'n dent Aero blocks for $40. It's under a handguard, who's gonna see the scuffs.

barrel nuts has more to do with what rail you are using, so they are not included with the barrel.
For the vast majority yes, however there are a few government spec barrels that will ship with a standard barrel nuts with the intent of the user installing a mil spec for end.
