Pump Action, Short Stock

Looking for a 12 ga. pump, with shortened stock. It's for my sister. She's fired my Remington 870, but the stock is a little long for her reach. It should be 3", with removable choke tubes. Also should be smooth bore, and able to mount a scope on receiver, or with cantilever rail. It will be primarily a buckshot gun, for deer hunting on Vancouver Island. Any suggestions would be appreciated......Thanks...

Just buy an 870 with a wood stock and cut it down and re shape the recoil pad. Simple enough.

So your sister needs a pump action, but yours is a little long for her... never mind. Not a good train of thought there!

If she likes your 870, why mess with what works? Plenty of aftermarket stocks are available for the 870 in a number of lengths of pull. Have you considered an 870 with either the shorter Hogue 12.5" LOP buttstock, or if you don't mind the look, a Magpul SGA stock? The Magpul stocks are adjustable for length of pull between 12" and 14.5", so you can size it to fit her.
