Hey guys, I'm looking to get into a couple different Action Shooting Competitions, with 3 gun being one of them. I know Abby Fish & Game hosts CQB matches, but I haven't found anything relating to 3 gun in the lower mainland. Are us LMLers SOL?

That would be pretty fun. I would imagine there's a decent amount of paperwork involved in transporting 3 firearms across the border and back, but definitely worth looking into.

Hardly any more than shooting 3gun in your own province. Fill out an ATF Form6, it is good for a year, free, and fairly easy.

Yup, just go down the night before in case you get hassled at the border. CBP and ATF don't spend much time speaking to each other... Sometimes it'll take 3 minutes; sometimes 3 hours...

Few quick questions and a comment.

1) i see black badge is not required. Do you require a holster or do you start with your handgun on a bench or something?

2) are there any other restrictions or divisions or anything? I see no steel core/jacket ammo, but very little else is explained.

Comment: date is less than ideal, i wanted to go to the big gun show in chilliwack... decisions decisions!

1) no black badge required. Yes you will need a holster and a means of carrying ammo for all 3 firearms on your person. Your long guns may start in hand or staged somewhere depending on stage description. Handgun will more than likely always start holstered.

2)Yes there are different divisions. which division you are in will depend on your equipment setup. You can go over to 3gunnation.com and search the division requirements. Most people will be in practical (formerly known as tac ops).

Comment: There usually is always a decision to be made, but going to a match is always the right answer! ;)
