Love your set up! Where did you get it?

Dont let the "purists" in this forum stiffle your guys creativity ! If you follow their ways.... you'll just have a safe full of the same damn guns and be no different than anybody else at the range. And probably go bald and drive a Prius lol

Been thinking about picking up a Mosin…

Do it!

On two conditions though:

You are prepared to pay the slowly increasing bulk ammo prices to feed it...

...and able to field any cheapshots about being a purist by the resident weakminded mall ninjas and Bubba's.

Otherwise, go shopping! They are great, fun rifles!

Here's what I've done to mine to make it my "go to" deer rifle.

The scope mount is from Brasstacker in the US. They don't sell to Canada but this one came to me through Amazon. I have yet to finish the install or dial in the scope.

The bent bolt is from a guy in the US.

Looking good, did you put a long eye relief scope on it or could you mount it far enough back to use a reg setup? I'm still really interested in this mount, how high does it sit? Cheek weld an issue?

It is an LER scope and the eye relief is perfect.

The mount feels very solid on the stock. I have yet to finish dialing in the scope but that will occur this spring.

Check weld is very nice.

Nice, I'm on the fence with this mount or a drill and tap mount. I have a really decent shooting 41 91/30 and I'd like to scope. Just not sure if I'll like a long eye relief scope setup. I like that the brass stacker can be taken off and nothing is permanently altered but I don't plan on selling this rifle, it's a keeper.
