I am wanting to add either a good peep or diopter sight to my CZ 425 Ultralux. Yes, I know about Denny in the States and yes, I know about the Williams sights that CZ sights sells directly in the States. Denny isn't responding to emails this last month and I tried getting Prophet River to bring in the Williams sight to no avail.

So, I am thinking I may just have to make/add a diopter with parts I can find up north of the 49th. However, I know nothing about these types of sights and have no idea where to start looking in Canada.

Any help or direction of where to look and set-ups that don't cost my first-born would be appreciated.

Tech sights, NECG and Skinner all offer peep sights for the CZ 22's. Some are available direct and others can be had through Brownells. The Williams is my least favourite design, sticks out too much and much less durable than some of the others

Thanks for the info - I was actually leaning towards the Williams, tried calling them today but ended up in voicemail and no return call. Stopped by a few gun shops in Vancouver - no one could tell me anything about how to get knowledge or buy diopter sights. Where can someone go to learn more about these?

Check out Tradeex under Sights..there are Diopters there for Euro rifles (they state 3/8 inch rails bt I suspect it is 11mm).

Give Nordic Marksman and Cibles targets a look for some precision adjustable smallbore sights.

Sent Nordic a message yesterday, will see when/if they reply. Wasn't much at Cibles - but thank you for these.

I have these. Work great.

They ship to Canada as well.

Thanks,
Cal.

I thought about the jnp blades, but I have noticed that my eyes are right at the cusp of needing reading glasses and with the sight out further, my eyese are focusing back and forth, so I want the sight closer.

Williams finally got back to me, I ordered their rear sight and I will give it a try. I would still like to get a proper set of rear sights and front globe to try out - hopefully Nordic gets back to me.

I had luck with Nordic. Brad was very helpful. I ended up with a Fortner 10mm riser block so that the bolt would clear the Annschutz 6805/10 rear sight and I made 10mm 11 deg dovetail riser to attach the Anschutz 6832 front sight. Worked very well for me. Go to Rimfirecentral and search for Match Sights for CZ 455

I saw your post there on RFC - nice work. So when are you going to start making the front globe risers? ;) I saw another post about the Centra Riser Blocks being able to attach to the front blade - so I think I am learning enough now to where I may be able to put something together. Nordic never did get back to me, BTW. Does anyone know a shop out West that is into dioptic sights?

Nordic are in Canmore and will be back Monday. They are great people to deal with and have helped me with my sight system. With regard to the riser block I made, I'll had a request this afternoon from a member on RFC, so I think I'll make a few and see if people are interested

I've had the Williams mounted and out to the range a few times now - I'm not liking the peep size, it is a little too large for my liking. However, I am going to do more shooting with it to see if I can finds the sweet spots at 25, 50, and 100 yards.

Nordic Marksmen never did return my messages about risers/diopter options.

Gave the Williams a good work-out today and I think I am getting the hang of sighting it now. You do need to adjust it up and down several clicks based on yardage, but once you figure out what works for you it becomes pretty decent to shoot with; I like that you can use the stock front blade and sight it to see target rather than cover target.

Here is 20 rounds at 100m using Federal Match Target - the target is a 25m pistol target. The first ten I had only one flyer. Next ten added a few more (then my friend popped some 7.62 into it before I took the pic). Anyways, the Williams sight shows potential if you adjust it accordingly.

I just can't say I am pleased with the Williams sight - too large of a peep and I find the sight hits my UL stock when I want to wind it down to 25 yards. I gave it an honest try, but I think I am going to sell it and try the J&P peep blades.

Is it the overall size of the Williams you don't like or just the diameter of the aperture. They do make a smaller target aperture, ( maybe .040 I can't remember exactly.
I would think the JP ghost ring would be even worse because it is further from the eye which defeats the whole purpose of using a peep sight.
For target shooting With my BRNO's I find I get the best accuracy using a globe front sight with the clear plastic insert so that you get a circle within a circle sight picture rather than a front blade. The closer to your eye the rear peep is the better as you look through it, not at it.

Good Day
I would try Denny on Rimfire Central he might have a set of BRNO Standard Match Sights left.
These are made for the rifle, I have a set on my CZ452Lux, very nice sights.
Take Care

Thanks - I may consider the smaller aperture, as that is the issue I am having. Overall, I am not sure I want to spend more money on this sight, I'm going to think about it.

I emailed Denny for months and no response - several others on RFC have been saying the same thing. I read a thread about it that was eventually shut down, someone was alluding to health issues. I wanted a Klansky stock as well, but no reply from Denny
