Just looking to burn some cash, have a fun semi to plink with and do some hunting with.

The LSS Seems like such a better deal but the HB seems to be getting better reviews.

Wood stock with a 20 inch stainless medium barrel and a scope Vrs just a 16inch heavy barrel.... $40 dollar difference. What one would you go for ?
 
I would go for the 16" heavy barrel. It just looks better. The scope that comes with the other is probably not the greatest. I don't care for laminate wood stocks. If you really want to know my feelings I would just get a 10/22 and turn it into exactly what you want (whatever that may be)

it would likely resemble the LSS. Stainless with a nice wood stock that's fun to plink with. Im not looking for crazy accuracy, I have CZ's and 17hmrs for that.

See im not sure about the 16 look. Its allright, but I mean. Eh ... lol
