Hunter Marksman Challenge practice with a VZ 58

Hey Rob - yeah two at 12 o'clock :)

I see it now! Do you think the vertical stringing may be from the Czech surplus' variability? I was reading some cartridge specs for
some Norinco that I got and they claimed a variance of between 16grams and 17grams overall cartridge weight. It would be interesting
to do this challenge with high quality ammo, but I will be following your example and using surplus.

Hey Rob - the vertical stringing maybe the ammo but I'm practicing offhand so I expect some North South action. Used the VZ as its alot cheaper than practicing with 30 06!

Just did a quick scan and it doesn't sound like a break will improve accuracy so l'm out for now.

I did some range time with the break on and off using surplus ammo and I noticed a difference when doing rapid fire but it may be because there is less muzzle rise, Ill try doing it tomorrow from a bench and send you some pics.

So its tomorrow... paging CBP? Did you make it out?

My VZ failed today and wont cycle so I never got to test it... Its currently boxed up waiting for shipping, Sent north sylva a video and they say its probably over gassing. What luck... lol|

No VZ till it gets back! :( Atlest who ever gets it next wont have to worry about the over gassing issues they have. Lucky them.

Yes! Yes! Yes!

Can't wait to see your main event, would LOVE for you to just get out there and take the challenge, then practice, then take the challenge again to see what improvement you made, then dissect your practice routine and see how awesomely you identified and addressed your shortcomings!

No matter what you do, I can't wait to see your results.

Thanks a tonne!

Hey Brobee - thanks for wandering over here to check in! You have great videos and your delivery and content is fantastic. Like I said, working up to the main event. Will be using the Sako A7 and this ammo.

3 groups of 3. Have a fellow CGNer buddy that wants to shoot a new acquisition so I may have someone to time me in a bit. Prone at my range will be an issue but I think a sheet of plywood across two benchs might work as long as the RM clears it. Shoot two of the plywood, roll off and fall 2.5 feet, shoot sitting...:) I love the challenge Brobee. And ya, practice is good - probably will have to chit can the first couple of vids/targets.
Cheers mate
