I am thinking of a 44mag/454 casull carbine for general bush use. The lever options out there are great but the tube mag is not as it will be loaded/unloaded more often than fired. I know of the ruger semi 44mag, it has a detachable mag, are there any other options out there? The semi auto 45acp carbines are nice, but do not have the punch I am looking for!

How many times do you anticipate loading and unloading in one day?
The .454 Rossi and some of the Henry's allow you to load in and out of the tube similar to a .22lr so you don't have to cycle them through the action.
I regret not buying a stainless .454 Rossi trapper when they were available and I don't understand why they stopped importing them?

I'd love to find one of those. I shot Camp Cooks (rifle I think not carbine).

AeroSurvival's are being built in 10mm now but have yet to come North and will be pricey with the exchange.

WOW I have never heard of these before if they are non-restricted they would definitely be something that I would like to have.

I am totally into the 10mm cartridge been loading mild to wild 10mm ammo since spring of 1988.

Yes Geo it was the 20" model and I am still kicking myself for not getting the Trapper model but I bought it to shoot Cowboy action competitions with 45 Colt rounds so need to be able to put 10 rounds into the mag tube.

I contacted the Canadian importer who directed me to a couple of stores in BC that can supply these rifles in 10mm.

I have been quoted $1050.00 plus taxes/shipping for a complete rifle in 10mm.

They are only available in black though and the only kit option is 45acp for another $799.99.

I'm waiting to hear back if 10 round Glock 29 mags will fit looking at the pictures I couldn't imagine that they won't.

I also asked what the recoil spring weight is and if these rifles will handle top 10mm pressures.

Thanks Cam, the conversions kits are a bit much considering it's just a barrel and a bolt if you are going from 10mm to .45ACP.
$1050.00 is not bad considering the dollar today and the longer Cdn barrel. Last year the 9mm's were around $800.00 or so.
I emailed TNW last year and got quick replies and they seem happy to service the Canadian market.

G26 mags work fine in the 9mm and hang an inch below the mag well so I can't see an issue with G29 mags in the 10mm.
