Who has 44/40 cowboy action ammo in stock?

I need a box of 44/40 cowboy. I have an antique rifle I'd like to test fire , and play with a bit.
The mild , 750 fps loads would be perfect for this. My local gun store can't seem to order them in.
On back order , with no idea when some might show up ! This can't be THAT hard ! geez !
 
Im simply trying to direct you to the correct ammo thats all.So it's gonna be black powder only, have you tried calling Ellwood Epps or Wolf's Den? The only other, and probably the cheaper option is to have someone make you a few rounds with just black powder and a .44 cal bullet. There's got to be some Cowboy Action Shooters out that way willing to part with a few rounds, as it's a fairly common caliber in CAS. Perhaps an ad at the local ranges bulletin board or in the ammo section of the EE. Sorry I couldn't be more helpful, but all the online sources I know of are sold out.
 
Give Epp's a call, they tend to have a lot of the less common stuff, and there is a fairly active cowboy action clientele around, although most of them reload (that would be a hint)
 
Canada Ammo lists fiochi Cowboy for about $45 (I believe, their website is running slow but they are sold out in any case)
