Winchester 101 12 Gauge O/U made in Japan in the 70s or 80s.
A relative is wanting to sell this firearm and I am trying to assess it's value for them.

From what I have found a good condition Olin Kodensha 101 is valued at +/- $800, do you think this figure is reasonable?
Sorry in advance for the poor quality pics.

Thank you

Is that a big crack in the rear stock?

Looks like stock was shortened and poor job fitting pad.

Looks like receiver blue is well worn almost brown patina.

Tough sell at $ your thinking.

Well - Cosmetically, its had a rough life. If that is a stock crack, things go downhill quickly. What remains to be determined is the mechanical condition - is the gun tight on face? Position of top lever? etc. If the mechanical condition matches the cosmetics, south of 500$ would be a reasonable guess.

I would pay 500$ just for a bunny buster if it works properly. Still a good gun .just been rode hard and put away wet ..lol Dutch

Yuck, that ugly and poorly fitted butt pad probably knocks $50 off the price all by itself. Is the stock cracked up by the receiver? Or is that lighting?

i had a recoil pad replaced a couple months ago on an 1100, clean up the stock end and install a kick e z pad. that was just dollars south of $200.
That crack in the stock isn't going away, the seller should be ecstatic if someone offered $300.
