Chinese Type 81, heard they are coming to Canada

I see, so this is with parts designed originally for the gun and for the purposes of select fire? Does this assume that one could get drop in parts legally or fabricate them? We know several guns can be converted to select fire, and said conversions wouldn't be as designers intended (10/22, Glock, M305, AR-15's, a little knowledge of engineering and even youtube videos showing it.

You sound like you should get a job with the RCMP. Just stick with your side by side stevens there elmer fuddd and we will get these type 81

Well I certainly hope two things.
1. the Type 81 sells for sub $1,000 and
2. venders bring in LOTS of AK mags

Question: The Type 81 takes AK mags--but they don't activate the bolt hold open, but the dedicated T 81 mags do.
So, do they work like the hold opens on the Yugo M70 AK's? (meaning that when the mag is removed, the bolt slams closed)
OR does the T81 have a mechanism to lock the bolt back when a mag runs dry? Anyone know 4 sure?

Now I know modifying the receiver is illegal but how about pushing the trigger guard forward to the mag release attach a new trigger to a push bar and modify stock? . Bam! Instant ak looking monstrosity . As long as barrel length is good and OAL length on the non res imports

Any chance on polymer furniture, or only wood? I saw some photos of Indian military having captured some type 81 with green poly furniture, but I can't find the photos.

Yeah just like how I bought 10 German K98 ww2 all matching rifles for $25. (sarcasm)

I cant believe how full of poop people are.

Fortunately, I did get my mauser for 100$. Not to hard when you can move out of CGN to other buy and sell's locally. My enfield and AG42 were very cheap to, Some farmer that just didn't want them.... That's life.

Are you suggesting that price on EE are ridiculous and people are asking the value of a new rifle for a used one ? And also follow the inflation (tanking loonie) ? :p

Bring in the QBZ-03
