I don't have large hands, more of like short and sausagy! I get really comfortable grip on my 1911 because of the single stack mag. But my glock 22 is a little large I find...any ideas on some possible striker fire polymers that have slightly smaller grips or should I stick with 1911....? Is there any single stack polymers even out in Canada? I heard XDM may be an option. Caliber doesn't matter to me.
Thanks for any input!

Smallest, readily available polymer grip (I think I've had them all almost) is the Ruger, with that said small grip is only one part of the gun.
I'd say polymer wise you can't go wrong money wise with the Canik TP9SA, the grip is as small and a better feel than the M&P.

I think if you're going to pick one pistol to meet this criteria I'd invest in a CZ Shadow with thinner grips. It's one of those guns you don't replace and money wise I'd say it's priced right.

Aluminium grips on my Tanfoglio Stock lll Extreme are pretty thin... JP.

I feel your pain. The best small hand pistol is a 1911 with a short reach trigger. If you want polymer, the M&P9 with the small grip insert is quite good. Not mentioned yet is the Glock 19. It is the best feeling double stack 9mm I have ever handled. It works great for my small hands. If you want bigger holes in the paper with a polymer gun try the M&P45. With the small grip insert it works quite well for me and feels better than a G17 to my hands. Much less blocky and square.

I also have those grips on my Stock 3, that's a Cadillac gun, not sure of the budget for this gun, I sold my 2 Shadows the first time I handled the Tangfo!

The Glock 19 does have short grips, not sure they're so small in width, I've bought a lot of Glocks and tried to like them but they just aren't for me, same with dare I say it the 1911.

I think the guy asking just needs to do a ton of research and find out exactly what he'd like to do with this gun long term.
