hk 243

It's in the comment section, you just have to dig for it a bit:

hecklerandkoch@kellercarson @arbunn123 once the USA allows them to be imported they will be. We have started shipping them to Canada.

HK USA and HK Germany are two different entities. It appears that the IG page is run by HK USA.

There's no FRT # for HK243 yet.

I run a SL8-36 convert, with the lighter barrel... and other then it being "rare" in a way, I rarely use it and keep throwing the idea of selling it around.

Then I take it to the range, and smile from ear to ear.

I have a few complaints about the 243 that'll never have me buying one (propriatery parts, not exchangeable with the G36s) And I really am not a huge fan of the physical differences between that and the G36... I love the "smooth" appearance of the 36, not so much on the 43.

Maybe someday, but not any day soon.

I was reading that in Europe they did a "top end" switch? so buddy installed a "C" on the 243, other than that, the trigger group for me is kinda a "non" issue" . Maybe that changes your view? Cheers

Can't find any information about the gun for the Canadian market. Probably won't be cheaper than a SL-8. Guessing a 16" barrel first like the ACR.
Nice to see a civvie G36 finally.

Why would they have a 16" barrel? They can't import these in to the States, so there's no incentive to make a version with a 16" bbl.

Huh?

The G36s never came with a quad rail, or a weird non-hk looking stock.

That and the non-interchangeable barrel...

I'm not too sure if the uppers can be swapped or not, a while back I read somewhere that the pins/etc will be in different places for that reason alone, and haven't looked into it since, maybe that's changed.

HK produces a lot of products that are not even listed in their catalogue. That "weird non-hk looking stock" was made for German SF units.

So, when was the last time you out-shot a barrel?

Here's the post from HKPRO & the link;

Unfortunately I was not personally there when they put the thing together. Furthermore, I received the gun as it is now without the stock barrel assembly from the original 243 (which I sold to the armorer himself to reduce the horrendous cost).

I can try to take some pictures tonight of the barrel assembly/nut, perhaps that might be of any help?

Let me re-iterate that I am not aware of any exotic pieces nor practices needed to fix a g36 barrel to the 243 - else the armorer would have made me pay something extra i guess. This topic came up already months ago, and back then upon inquiring with the armorer he said it was a straightforward job and the g36 barrel was gonna fit nicely without further due. Don't think he was lying, but then again, the gun shoots like a charm so i did not really bother with making further checks.

The SL8 were $2000 about 8 months ago. Lots of people converted those rifles to G36 but the rifle remains very heavy since it has the heavy barrel of the SL8 and not the thinner barrel of the G36. Oddly enough, the real G36 already has restricted status here in Canada. I've only seen two real HK G36 here in Canada and they're worth about $10,000 - $15,000

I thought the full size variants were NR the K version restricted and the C variant prohib because of overall length.

Depending on the end user the G36 was kitted with quad rails. And by the Non HK looking stock are you reffering to the solid retractable stock used by the latvian armed forces or the IDZ stock that was made under request from the KSK? Please do post a picture of this non HK looking stock.

As for the non interchangable barrel, if you are the first owner if you shoot out the barrel (a deeply impressive feat for a civvie to burn out a hk chf barrel) hk replaces it under their warranty. I could be wrong so do clarify that with whoever our distributor is.
