Great guns. Sold mine when the prohib was lifted. Sold my last VZ58 in 5.56 two weeks ago. Love them and think they are a best buy, but the axe is going to fall again - eventually.

Congrats, im a new owner like you. Got one of the two remaining at 1075 before the new ones at 1200ish came. Is it the 7,62 or the 223?

It's 7.62... Picked this one up at the shooting centre in Calgary on Saturday... About a 1300km round trip to buy a gun!
Price was decent at $1150ish compared to the well used ones on the EE listed for that or more...

Just put 200rnds thru it at the range, no issues hitting the 300 yard gong off my elbows with some old stock chek surp I've been nibbling away at with my SKS's... Me like... Heck even my better half had a hard time putting it down... May have to find another one at the Easter show.

Wow 1300km, sounds like a great excuse for a road trip

I like mine so much, even my wife who dislike anything that isn't wood liked it. So easy to shoot it offhand especially when you come from the m14 platform, because it's so light!

I'd of preferred a $699 CZ 858 with a bayonet and a pouch full of mags...

I had to look high and low just to find a $1200 VZ 58 with 2 mags and not even a box or instruction manual


Most folks dident like the paint jobs on the 858's and the gun snobs refused to buy until CSA brought some nicer rifles to market...

That bayonet is pretty @#$%ing sweat. Like you CSA guys are really missing out. I've never used it for anything once but its pretty badass.
