Well i couldnt find any....so they had some at WSS, when i got to the till it was 10% off, $38. So i went back and got a 5lber of R17 for $170.
I can see the prices going only one direction, even higher

It's $55/pound in my neck of the woods...I was unaware that gold dust could be loaded into metallic cartridges until now. Why so much?...? I assume because it's 2016...and that's the new reality for the short term anyway.
Yes, unlike the IMR which is made in Canada, sent in bulk to the US, repackaged and repriced in US bucks and sold back to us including all the shipping and customs costs to cross the border "twice" before we get a hold of it.
Hey, do you think JT would give us some "infrastructure money" to build a value added, secondary processing plant so that we could package it ourselves and export to the US where we could "rip them off"?
And Aliant's parent is Vista who also owns CCI, Federal, Savage, Bushnell and a couple dozen others. So you know that even if the powder is coming from Europe, the US has their fingers in it and they are selling to our suppliers in US bucks.

$38/lb at Hummason on last I checked.
Thanks to the liberals (ontario and federal) the cdn $ is dropping like a 500 pound anvil in a down draft and imports like gun powder and ammo are costing more as a result.
Unfortunately we don't have any domestic powder or ammo manufacturers except maybe the bullet barn which also depends on imported components.
