Those magazines alone are worth $70-80 for the pair. As a collectable, the 490 hasn't really panned out as we all expected back in the 70's, but they are a finely made, grown up .22 semi. The receiver is machined, blued steel, the barrel is highly polished, the stock is decent quality black walnut. If you compare those specs against any of today's .22s, they are easily worth $600, when you get the walmart-grade stuff made today for $400 and up here in Canada.
