BTW, how much was shipping for you guys? How did you package it up?
 
I sent two sights back. Used the foam from the plastic box I had for one, cut it down, and made a custom box for them both. Cost me $40.91 with $1,000 insurance. They are reimbursing $30 us for shipping, so that should pretty much equal out.
 
My price for the 511 was rejected. It's the night vision model and I they said they would only accept 450ish USD based off the 2007 manufacture date and MRSP at the time. Their equivalent CDN is very unfair, so I will be attempting to get paid in USD.

Just waiting for cheque cutting prior to sending the unit in.
 
I will be watching this thread like a hawk. I hope they dont go bankrupt :D

I hope they send cash back, I got both mine on sale and never liked them, I bought them only for their reputation of being rugged dependable sights, I would trade both mine for an aimpoint.

Also , I bought mine a couple of years ago, how much are they going to pay for 2013 model 512's?

My 512 was approved for $669 CAD plus $15usd shipping.

Try them on the current Amazon dot com price, add tax, and shipping. Then in your head, convert that to CDN, and think of what you are going to upgrade to. Worst they say is no.
They require a USD amount.

I tried sending a request with both serial numbers and total price of purchase, although I do not have high hopes it will be accepted.
Now does the Aimpoints and other alternatives have the same height? I hope so!
Otherwise it's ~700$ down the drain!
 
Generally, they are only refunding magnifiers if they were bought as part of a kit, as there is nothing wrong with the magnifiers, although there have apparently been exceptions to this rule. Aimpoint mounts are available in a variety of heights that match the Eotech sight heights. Reports from users are that the Eotech magnifiers work very well with Aimpoints.

On a related note, many people in the US have now received cheques.

I got a response within 3 hours: Your refund request has been received and approved... blah blah blah
Now I pray they come through with the cheque!
 
Hi guys, they have a Hotline # to phone now (concerning refund status):
