Is this vz58 handguard still in production?

Anyone know if this front handguard is still available? I haven't seen em around in a while and I always kind of liked the look of them.

Unfortunately no. Not much for other pics floating around. This is one of the few I could find. These used to be fairly common 5 years ago but I never see em anymore.

The one thing I've always hated about the stock synthetic furniture on those rifles is after a few mags it get's hot. REALLY HOT.

That one looks much improved in that area.

I'd like to know what that stock adapter is. Looks like it has a raised sight block or something.

No, though I believe they must be made by the same manufacturer. Those it appears, have had their nice palm swells removed in favor of flat sections that rails could be mounted on.

I have a set of hand guards similar to those in the first 2 pics, and they have worked well with an AFG on the bottom rail and a Vortex Strikefire on top.
Picked mine up from Corwin Arms back when he was importing all the 858 accessories.

You are right, I went back to wood because of the heat. I found that it takes little before I had to stop shooting. Plastic also takes ages to cool off.
