I'm looking for some advice from anyone who reloads 10 gauge. I am looking to reload some lighter target loads to practice swinging the gun and some heavy steel goose loads for when it counts. I am finding it difficult finding a good supplier of wads/spacers/shot as well.

Thanks

Buddy of mine looked about a year ago.....no luck. I don't even think his shotgun press would adapt to 10ga.

Best of luck, please let me know if you have any success.

I have no clue where you are located but the only place I know of that has a good supply of sam1 wads and steel shot is TNT Gun Works in sask
Lead shot is easy to find as is SP-10 remington wads many places have old stock kicking around
Hulls you are probally going to have to buy some new boxes and save them and pick up a MEC 10ga steelmaster from Hummason
Also the rsi reloading manual for high speed steel loads and lots of data on the internet for lead
Steel and Blue dot powder where you can find it which is tough the last three years. Wholesale sports just had a load of it but not sure what is left

Honestly practice with a 12ga and forget about using the 10ga for that believe me if they are anything like mine you don't need practice swinging those puppies once they start moving slowing down/stopping the swing is the issue
Not to mention there is probally not a club that will allow you to use a 10ga for targets
Also for steel be prepared to reload just about every offering in the book and shoot a pile of paper to get one that patterns well with your choke combination. I reloaded 10 samples of each offering when I started and now just use three recipies especially if they are unslit wads best to just slit them to the bottom and work backwards to save you a lot of time and components

Again not knowing where you are at if there are any waterfowl outfitters ask them to save 10ga hulls for you and you will buy them. If you make it worth their while some guides will pick them up for you and have a box at the end of the season.I was offering 25 cents each and that was 10 years ago but it got me a good stash
Cheers

Thanks for the advice. I will look up the supplier for wads and steel shot. That's the first I heard of them.

I stole a 10 gauge press from an online auction and I have a mix of about 100 Remington/Federal shells from boxes I bought and shot. I am in northern Alberta so there are lots of places to take the gun out and shoot it. You are right about gun clubs, they would boot me pretty quick if I tried to shoot it there.

Call mr will Bilozir
4039386066
He has. All what you want for reloding
Tell him mr hamza send me

Will that give me a discount?? :) since I need a big one dealing there normally and lots and lots of lead time if not in stock or at least that has been my experiences
In all honesty it is my last stop spot and I understand why it is so expensive and Will probaly cannot control that
Cheers
