norinco 45 acp brass ???

Hey guys I'm sure this has been discussed before but I couldn't find anything from a search. . I've just been given 1000 pieces of norinco 45 acp brass that's been once fired and re sized .
This stuff looks a little thin but o.k. is it worth reloading or is it scrap???

It's ok... a little brittle. Certainly not American, but loads up fine 2 or 3 times.

Iv'e tried it in the past and shoots well but I don't like how it reloads so I ditched them

I have reloaded it 3 or 4 times, with no failures yet.

The ones I've come across have had crimped primer pockets. I've reloaded them without any issues. Some going on their 3rd reload.

Had a 2 split after twice fired. But I shoot it all till it fails, don't care where it comes from.

I'm at 9 reloads on most of mine. Out of 1k original, 6 split on the first factory load. None of the rest have had a problem since.

Add S&B to that crimped group too.

I don't like it, I can feel the difference between it and any other brand of brass when it goes through the sizing die. It just doesn't go through the dies as nicely and I've found many cracked once fired pieces.
My procedure for Norinco brass is to sort it into a ziplock bag and give it away whenever it gets full. I have a buddy who is not as picky as I am and he's happy to load it.

That being said, if someone gave me 1000 pieces that was already sized I would give it a good inspection and load it but I wouldn't be picking up the brass when I was done.

I have no issues.. I load light target rounds and have reloaded Norc brass countless times with no issues... My experience has been ok. It is pretty thin walled though.. so if you load hot and taper crimp tight maybe only a few times is a good idea??

Here's an interesting pic of one I spotted at the range yesterday. Fortunately, I saw it before I stuck it in the magazine.
I'm almost sure it didn't look like this when it came out of the press. How would I have missed it?

i guess that would explain why i can never seem to seat a new primer properly in the S&B cases. if i swage them they would be good to go?

Yup
