looking for a mec 9000

looking for a mec 9000, but seems like everywhere i call in southern ontario doesn't have one and doesn't want to work to get one in...even a price. Anyone able to point me in the right direction.


found on bass pro site, but rather not pay exchange on $700ish plus i rather support a vender here.

Got a price from Globles for $1100.

even with duties bass pro is probably cheaper.

What makes you think you will find one new cheaper than Hummasons??They always have had the best prices on MEC gear
Guys seem to keep forgetting these come from the US and where the dollar is today
There is a used 20ga and a 12ga listed separately in the EE as we speak on separate listing. I have no idea what condition they are in
Me I would check them and run a WTB listing in the EE
Plus the 12ga and 20ga is still $625 at hummasons the $700 dollar are the small gauges 28 and 410 vs you state Got a price from Globles for $1100.
What am I missing here

you're 100 correct. by far they are the best price. i checked them out and at $700 a brand new shiny one looks pretty good considering I'm not saving tons of money buying used.


Found a 8567 grabber for about $400 and i still rather have the new one I'm thinking.

I had 8567's and they work well but I prefer the 9000G which is why I have one in every gauge now even 16. Hummason supplied my 12, 28 and 20 new. 16 came from the US and the 410 used from a member on the EE
Nothing wrong with used if you find one that was taken care of

Was in Humms after christmas and he had a 9000h used, for sale in 12 gauge and it came with a 20 gauge machine. That was the hydraulic unit with it also. It almost followed me home but wife said components only. I thought he said he wanted $700 for both.

^^^ That is an excellent outfit. My first kick at re-loading shot shells was with a Lee Loadall...I lost interest in a hurry, Then I had an opportunity to buy a used Hyd 9000...It has a learning curve that requires a shot spill or two but once I got by that and a small "bridging of uncoated homemade shot" problem it has been a joy to use.

You haven't learned anything until you get distracted, come back, cycle, and before the shot even hits the floor realize what has happened. Ah the joys of progressive. :).

Everyone does it, with the powder too. My personal fav is when the auto primer doesn't drop, and by the time final crimp is done you don't have any powder left as it has completely drained out (and is starting to clog the works as it were..).

I would not trade my 9000 progressive for anything. Its set up for 3/4oz #9 and 700x. Pure joy as far as skeet goes.

Are you sure he didnot say $1700 for both, The 12ga new alone is like a $2000 machine canadian by the time one pays tax and shipping

I brought it last night from humasons , got home set it up and made a few hundred shells. I hate when the auto feed for the primer doesn't drop. happened a handful of times but got it adjusted and am starting to be able to catch it.

Im loading up 7/8 #8 with 15.3 grains of 700X. on the lee load all it was about 14.5 and i felt it was a little slow, i like around 1150-1200 ft per second.

Congrats . It takes a bit of getting used to but once you do and have it set not problem to bang off hundreds a hour.
Also get a high side cookie sheet , drill the monuting hole pattern and mount under it. You will thank me down the road

I think i will the next time i reconfigure the reloading room, already dropped 5-7 hulls worth of shot on the ground lol. Learn pretty quickly what not to do.

Yes, i talked to brian on the phone and his mother helped me, seem like great people.

What did they charge for the automate ? After pulling the handle 300-400 times i see why someone would consider it haha.
