The question is, was it manufactured originally as a pistol, or was it a rifle modified into a pistol.

Without the bling it would just be an SKS. 
Personally, I like the additions since these are what most people add anyway.
The "KD" keeps reminding me of Kraft Dinner, but I assume it stands for Kodiak Defence.
BTW, could someone please provide an FRT for this gun?

i would have grabbed one of these if they were using the paddle style mag release that the D models have.

Did the OP get any mags for these yet? I've tried the Magpul and they don't seat properly.
The original mag that it comes with appears to work best -- it's an Israeli mag from IMI Defense.

Yes they all test fired before shipping.
Rail is semi-permanently attached to rifle. You can take it off and it will hold zero.

Yes, it is Russian SKS converted to take AK magazine, ATI stock, Kodiak Rail, can accept VZ 58 muzzle brake and has mag release added.

I think these will sell a lot better once the 10rd 7.62x39 AK style pistol mags (that another sponsor has said they're going to make) that come with this RCMP approved pistol, come in.
