Reloading cost per caliber? Post your numbers!

I don't count the cost of brass for most calibers because I have found thousands of rounds of once fired brass for free.

Exceptions are .308 Lapua brass which cost $90.00/100 and 7.62x51 Lake City brass which cost $100/1,000.
The Lapua is used in my precision bolt action rifle and the Lake City is used in my M1A National Match.

All my rounds use FMJ bullets

My math, does not include brass as it is based on range pickup or previously bought factory ammo and saved the brass. I hope my math is correct!

.035 Primer (1000 S&B for $34.99)
.12 Projectiles (500 for $59.99, campro 55gr FMJ)
0.11 per charge [.005 per grain (7000gr in 1lb bottle of 4064 for $39.99), each load is 22gr]
0.00 brass is range pickup

.26 cents per round vs 0.59 / 0.49 per round factory respectively ($11.99/20 or $9.99/20)

As for my .45 ACP, I purchased once fired brass

Brass .15 ($155/1000)
Projectiles .15 ($155/1000)
Powder .005 per grain, 4.7 gr loads = .023
Large pistol primer $43/1000 = .043
=.36 per round

What is priceless is when your wife asks how much you spend on ammo and you say: "well that depends on the cost of commodities at the time as they directly influence the price of components and then the availability of product, which can lead to saving over retail of 50-70% depending on these factors and then the savings on tax, blah,blah.blah" At which point your wife has lost interest 2 minutes ago and still does not know how much you spend without you every having to lie. I will disavow all knowledge of this statement if you repeat it in front of my wife!

With some there is no question. I shoot: 22 hornet,243, 45 colt, 45-70,577/450, 50-70, 50-90 Sharps, 577 Snyder . Also the more common 222,223, 7x57(kids guns),280 and a few pistol cal. So for some you can't buy others run 10-15%. Cost is only 1 piece of the picture: available, special bullet / style, accuracy, and for some of us the joy in doing it.
 
For .303b on first loading taking into account that i sourced my brass by buying factory ammo. (so [{load costs + factory costs} /2] - load costs = brass costs)
So cost of brass is taken into account on my first loading and after that my cost drops drasticly.
factory-$1500 ($1.50 per round)
1-$1128.43 ($1.128 per round)
2-$756.43 ($0.756 per round)

30-06 i have got most of my brass given to me or picked up at the range so i dont include it in my costs. as such my costs stay the same no matter how many times i reload.
factory-$1350 ($1.35 per round)
1-$743.57 ($0.743 per round)


Its late and i may or may not be hopped up on cafine and letting my inner math nerd fly

Indeed i quite enjoy the process of it, view it almost as a seperate hobby in itself. Ive yet to find a factory load that will shoot in my guns better than ant of my handloads. And in the case of the 8x57, handloads are much more powerful then the anemic american factory loads that aren't even always available
