Anyone getting any of the new FDE Beretta M9A3's in stock? Saw a CDN dealer recently got some and sold out quick. Please let me know

Got mine a few weeks ago and love it. Ergonomics, trigger and overall balance is way better than the other M9 versions. Trigger is also better than the Wilson Combat tuned G version from the info I gathered.

It's suppose to be a full production pistol since it will be considered in the USMC trials.

No they wont be. They already decided against upgrading their 92's to the M9A3 version. Stupid decision I think as it meets most of their new requirements for a new pistol and at a greatly reduced cost then changing to a new sidearm completely.

Beretta however is submitting their newly designed APX pistol for the trial.

Holy, just had some sticker shock right there...

How so? With the dollar where it is, new 92's are about a grand, maybe even a bit north of it. With all of the extras and new features/upgrades over the standard M9 or 92A1, why is it being a few hundred more surprising at all?

I bought mine from Proline shooters in Calgary. Anyone figure out a drop leg holster for it? So far I have not been able to confirm that either Serpa or Safari has one that will work. I need at least level two retention, I would also like to know if will any M9 series magazines work? I had to leave for work the day after I picked it up.

I would think any A1 holster would work. Whether that is the case, i dunno.

Pretty sure any Beretta 92 and even 96 mags would work in it :)

pretty cool gun btw if I had the money Id get one but my 92Inox will do for now.

92 mags work. I've researched leg holsters and have recieved mixed answers. I called beretta directly and they said they won't fit a1 holsters because apparently the slide is called a brigadier series. Others at retail outfits say safari and others are compatible.

Was looking at a new 92fs for $799 around Xmas... Must be the dollar drop then.

No, I have an 92g elite 1a with a brigadier slide and a 96a1 vertec inox and received the m9a3 yesterday and the M9A3 is not a brigadier, it fits the same kydex holster as my 96a1, the brigadier has a noticeably thicker slide and measured it to be sure, the A3 is the same width as the A1. There might be a difference that it is a vertec but that difference should only be in the grip area of the frame and should not affect holster fit.
