Maverik's Multigun MAtch at AFGC March 19th

Here we go!

Hopefully everyone has been practicing this winter as the 2016 season is upon us!

If not, let's shake off some of that rust (us, not the guns…..hopefully!) with a practice on March 5th starting at 10:00pm and ending around 2:00pm.

We can drag out some of the new steel and figure out as a group what we all want to work on.


We will also be holding the first match of 2016 on March 19th.

The shooters meeting will be held at 9:30am with first shots at 10:00am. There will be no uncasing of firearms prior to 9:30am and will only be allowed in safety areas.

100 rounds of rifle, 100 rounds of pistol, 75 rounds of bird and 6 slugs should get you through the main match. Bring extra "just in case" and for the shoot off if you plan on participating.

Main Match Fee- $45
Shoot Off- $10 (Paid at the match)

Main match fee can be sent by EMT to maverik187@gmail.com

Shoot Off fee can be paid in cash at the match.

There is also absolutely NO steel cored, jacketed, etc. ammo allowed!! If it sticks to my magnet, you will not be using that ammo.

What types of firearms are permitted in the new categories ? Factory, Practical, Open ? Not yet familiar with those.

Factory= Irons
Practical= Tac Ops
Unlimited= Open

Everything is more or less the same as previous years. We are just starting to transition some things to follow more closely to 3GN to make the transition easier later on.

Once the match fills up, a wait list will be started. If those that have registered don't not pay by march 11th, their spot will be offered to the next on the wait list. So make sure you send in your match fee.

Follow the link above and fill out the registration form. It will automatically put you on the wait list. As for spectating the practice on march 5th, as long as you have eye and ear protection, come on out. I highly suggest participating instead though.

Remember that setup for the match will be on friday March 18th starting at 3pm until we are finished.

Any and all that are able to come help out are welcomed and encouraged!!

This will also give those participants the chance to see the stage before those that do not come out!

Well, Just a few small items to finish in the morning and we're ready to go!!

Please remember to be at the range by 9:00am as the shooter's meeting will be at 9:30am with gunning up and first shots around 10:00am.

Please DO NOT start gunning up prior to 10:00am and only do so in the safety areas. It would be a shame to be nuked before the match starts.

That being said, we have a few new targets from MGM that'll be sure to get the heart going!!

Lastly, we will be having another head to head shoot off after the main match so be sure to bring $10 for the entry and enough ammo.
