Hi guys,
I installed brand new AXTS Raptor charging handle on my Norinco CQ-A rifle few days ago. I applied plenty of lube on it before use. I just used it to dry fire almost 50 times so far and here is the wear on it.

It is excessively wearing from left side and underneath. What is causing so much wear on it? And how to protect it??
There is no burr inside the upper receiver.

4 easy steps:
1 keep raptor ch
2 sell norinco piece of crap
3 buy colt canada goodness
4 install raptor ch

This.

Too bad the FB gun auctions are gone. For what some fools were willing to pay for Norinco AR's, you could buy an actually nice rifle.

The excessive wear on the side. Is due to pulling the handle on the side. It causes it to come back crooked. You end up dragging it on one side. Being you cannot stabilize it like if you used 2 fingers one on each side like it was intended to be cocked.

You are right. I used the left latch/lever extensively to charge the rifle.but does it not scratch the right side of charging handle instead of left???

The finish is worn on your charging handle?!??!? NOooooaoooaOOOOOoooo. It is now a useless piece of junk. You should recycle it or just throw it out. You might have heard there is a rare metal in charging handles, and thats why companies are selling them so high. I have a small operation here and am willing to give you 5$ for it AND pay shipping so I can get those metals out :D pm me!
