I recently purchased several thousand rounds of various ammo including 45ACP.

When I got it home I realized that one of the 500 round boxes wasn't 45ACP, it was 38 Spec. I don't own a .38 or .357

So the dilemma- return the ammo or buy a revolver I don't really want? :)

Buy the revolver. You know you really do want it.

Really- any responsible gun owner should have a 38/357 revolver in the collection. Revolver all the way. It's too much of a hassle to return ammo anyway.

Buy a revolver. It is the right thing to do. Might I suggest a Smith 586. That blued baby with its wooden grips is just sooooooo ###y :)

I'm with YoDave on this one. First thing that came to my mind anyway.

Of course, once you have a .38/.357 lever rifle, you'll have to get a .38/.357 SA revolver to go with it. Case hardened preferably. You'd look silly at the Cowboy Action matches with just the lever rifle.
