Just got a kick ass deal on a Sig P226 TacOps in 40 s&w

Anyone know where you can get extended basepads for the mags?

The mags should come with the extended pads already. I have the 9mm version and they came on it originally.

for some of the later ones, they replaced the mags with the flat baseplates as per Canadian rules PITA

Just like STI's don't have 140mm mag for Canada too

It's a similar kind of thing with the FN FNX Tactical.

The first batch that came through had the Hi-Cap mags (pinned of course) with a larger base plate.

The newer batch (like mine) came with 10 round mags and no extended base plate.

Needless to say a disappointment as it really is part of the guns overall look/character.

Mine came with 4 flat plate mags (9mm though).

Ended up ordering the proper 20 pinned to 10 mags through IRUNGUNS.

If memory serves me (which is doesn't always) it was about $35 per mag USD from IRGs but that was a little over a year ago. All the Canadian dealer pricing was insane back then.

Questar had them for $95, can't justify that since I have 4 10rnd ones already

I ended up just changing the Magwell grips on my tacops to a set of checkered Hogue g10s. I found that using the 10 round mags with the magwell grips gave me a nice bruise on my left palm after few hours at the range. There is no way I'm paying 100$ a mag for 20 rounders that only hold 10.
I would post a picture but...it looks like I'm not allowed to attach yet I guess since I'm such a noob to this forum.

I thought of a set of g10 grips too

Ended up doing the same thing as juggernaugt77.

You can find basepads on ebay if you look, but for the cost the money is better spent on g10 grips.
