Hey folks, looking at a trade value here. Got someone lined up that wants to make a trade. I know what my side is worth but what is an fs2000 actually worth? It's got that built on optic on top and restricted barrel. Looks to be in good shape. The others listed on the EE are $4000, seems pretty steep. Could I get even $3000-3500 out of it? If not, I'll say no thanks. I would only be trading for quick liquidation.

All depends on condition and buyer demand.

Realize that because the FS2000 is a far inferior gun to the Tavor, the only reason it is worth anything is because its collectible. I had bought one at the beginning of last summer as I am a bullpup enthusiast, found out I REALLY didn't like it compared to the Tavor or ACR, so I put it up on the ee to support my MH dream.

The unit I sold was a black flat top model, NR conversion, with 3600 rounds through it. It had both the tri-rail handgaurd and the OEM polymer one with a 500lmn Surefire Fury P2X fitted inside and a tape switch ran to the out side. Came with an Urban ERT Sling, a spare "switch", Judo Chop charging handle, Neu-Trigger sear spring, and 4 mags. I took a bath on it, had to break some of the kit up, and in the end only got like $3200 out of the package after 3 or 4 months of trying to sell it.
 
I'd agree that probably $3k would be a good offer, although the factory optic version may have somewhat lower interest compared with the optic-less tactical version. I'd disagree that it's an inferior version of the Tavor, though. It has its design quirks for sure, but quality-wise it's at least as good as a Tavor. Recent interest is higher than a couple of years ago when I could hardly sell a Tactical version for $2k...probably due to their rarity now.
 
To be worth 4K an FS2000 has to be (very nearly) NIB, NR, and have all documents and original box. For a restricted example, subtract $800-1000.

Definitely not an inferior version of the Tavor, but definitely inferior to the Tavor IMO.

I am disappointed by how much I disliked the FS because I love how they look, but the trigger was such garbage even with the Neu-trigger upgrade, the only thing I liked about it was how it looked on the rack and how rare it was.

I require more out of my wares than good looks on the rack and bragging rights.

I greatly prefer the balance and "feel" in the hands of an FS2000 to a Tavor. The FS2000's trigger is unique, for sure, but the final break of the two-stage pull is far crisper than the Tavor's. My experience is that the FS2000 is a bit more accurate, too. About the only thing I prefer with the Tavor (restricted vs. non-restricted notwithstanding) is the Tavor's greater magazine type compatibility.

Yea, see I did not get a chance to compare the FS2000's stock or aftermarket trigger to anything but my Tavor which had a Geissele Super Sabra hammer/sear pack and a Geissele Lightning Bow trigger upgrade, which together feel identical to a Geissele SSA with that break glass feel @ 4.5lbs.

Some of the other bones I had to pick with the FS vs the Tavor were:
-Mag compatibility (as you mentioned)
-Mag release location and function
-Bolt release = the FS2000 does not have last LRBHO let alone a bolt release
-the ejection port door SUCKS to look in to fix any stoppages or show clear to an RO.
-the stock really is a Tuna fish, its bulky and wide and can sometimes be difficult to get the right cheekweld on, it would have been better if they put the Sopmod stock slope on it.

Things I wish my Tavor did like the FS2000:
-lock the bolt open MP5/FS2000 style.
