Im from Ontario and planning a trip to Gatlinburg tennessee this weekend. Is there anywhere close to gatlinburg that i can rent fully automatic weapons to shoot at a range? Any info would help thanks. Forgive me for my ignorance on american gun laws.

I-40 exit 374 Knoxville, Tn (behind the T/A), it was called Coal Creek Armory at one time, now it looks like it's called Tactical Advantage Corp. The address is 10737 Dutchtown Rd. They had an MP-5 and something else about 5 years ago. You had to rent a pistol first though to prove you're competent with a firearm.

The weather nice enough down there to ride The Dragon?

15 degrees c in Deals Gap today... Thats riding weather for me.... Rode the Tail of the Dragon two years ago on my KLR and it was fun... A lot of po-po though... So try and do it Shenanigan free or the dragon will breath fire down your neck LOL.. Planning a trip down to visit family tin South Carolina this August and plan on taking the Versys down the Dragon.

Been going there for the last 15 years. Bored of the Dragon. Done it on cruisers, sport bikes, even my truck. Meh. IMHO, the Devil's Triangle is better and not popular enough yet. I ride TN all the time. It's one of my favourite states. I knew Ben when he used to manage the resort. Just did a bunch of roads in and around Elkins, WV while on honeymoon. There's some great roads down there as well.

Yeah very true, once you've done you've done it, will do it again this year then i'll have had my fill of it .. Where i stay in SC (Locals dubbed it The Golden Triangle) I can be in North Carolina, Georgia or both within the time it takes most folks to have their morning java... The riding down south is Awesome to say the least, tons of windy country roads with little to no traffic and great scenery... oh and the weather! :) bikers paradise in my opinion..

IF you haven't done the BRP, I'd say go for it, including all the way north to do Skyline Drive. I've done both it and Natchez Trace. Natchez is very clean and pretty, but more geared towards history (War of 1812) rather than scenery & riding. BRP is meant for bikers, lol. Awesome riding through that. All I have left are Alaska, Oregon, and a couple of states around NYC and I'll have rode it all. Utah is another beautiful state to ride through.

Sorry about the hijack. I get carried away when I'm in the Dirty South...
