Howdy,
My Wife has small hands and not that strong in the first place. She loves to shoot her Colt Police Positve in 38 S&W a small relatively lightweight 12/6 Revolver perfectly fitting her hands. The Problem is the Hammer Spur which in the days of manufacture of this Revolver where kind of basic particularely if one would compare to a modern Revolver.

I know I could fabricate something to make this Hammer easier for her to grip but from past experience I know this could turn into a 2 day project which I like to advoid at this time.

Therefore my question, is there a Hammer extension available for me to purchase (perhaps somebody has something laying in his odds & ends Box) with minimal or no fitting required.

Thank you all for your your input. ---- K.

They're both Colt D frames (as is the Detective Special and Cobra etc). Whether the hammer will work or not will depend on how late of production the PP is. - dan

Not quite true .
My 1924 PP is not the same as a Detective Special / Diamondback

Here's the Colt DA frame size and letter codes:

"Police Positive"
"Banker's Model".
These were made only pre-war, and were shorter framed and short cylindered guns chambered for low power rounds like the .32 and .38 S&W.

The early Police Positive and "D" type grip frame was shaped slightly different and later grips usually don't fit properly.

The "D" frame, Small frame:
The Police Positive Special
The Police Positive target models
Diamondback
Cobra
Agent
Viper
Detective Special.
