M14 rubber butt pad ??

I think I got mine off Amazon.

The trick is finding a long enough screw to make it work. I never did, and sold mine.

Not sure why a guy would want one. The M14 is pretty mild in the recoil department.
It reduces the weight of the rifle a considerable amount since the original butt plate on the M14 was a combination of steel and aluminum, while the ones on type 305's are all steel. I notice that one poster had a problem with the screw length, you just need to push a little when screwing them in since the rubber which is in front of the plastic will compress with the washer against it.

TradeEx got em here in Canada. Just have a look through their website. I have been thinking of ordering one to increase the length of pull and decrease the weight a little

do you HAVE the actual weight reduction numbers of each item? I've had BOTH of them off and it's questionable at best in my opinion- the rubber bu ttplate is mainly used for not clanging on the floor

the rubber M1A buttpads from brownells are most certainly a fraction of the weight of a standard metal buttplate assembly. They do however increase the length of pull by about 3/4" which I like as it improves the fit for me.
