So I am a long time friend of Gagnons sports in Oshawa, I practically grew up in the old location on Bloor Street before the robbery happened, my dad was a long time friend of Roger and I still make it a point of dropping in to say hi from time to time when I am in town to visit family.

I was in over Christmas to say hello and look around and I saw the most epic of deals, too good to be true; I had to do the fiscally responsible thing and pass it up given my situation that starts with D and rhymes with division of assets......

I did some reading on it again this morning and am disappointed in myself at the deal that I missed out on. I thought they were just clearing out old stock that nobody wanted; the units they were selling of the FNS40L were 2 toned and perhaps nobody wanted them but when in relatity they were priced about 45% off all across Canada. It was a move by FN to get their name more out there in the pistol market. The only thing I knew about FN pistols was the 5-7 which is a pricey piece of kit.

So please, rub it in a post me some pics of your FNS40L's in action :( I can't believe I passed this deal up.... Oh well.....

If only the 9mm version would go on for $349 like it's fatter cousin once did. I would be a happy - happy boy.

Handled one the other day at Hnatiuk's $750 after NS HST. :(

Just missed one on the EE for $450 with 5 mags!

Likewise, at the end of the day 9mm is cheaper to make bang bang with although I've always found 40 recoil a bit easier to manage with my girly little arms. The two tone colouring was a non issue for me since I was going to let my daughter pick a colour out of the ceracoat cataloge website anyways.

380.00 all in, one of the best deal of the year if not the best, did not have this pistol on my agenda and since i am so satisfied with my FNX 45 Tac, i could not pass on it without regretting... JP.

Just to make you feel better, i picked up a FNS 40L on EE for $400 shipped with die set and 400 once fired brass. I then picked up a used FNS 9L from site sponsor for $540 tax and shipping included.

Keep looking you will find one.

They really are top notch pistols.
I picked up one from P&D first batch

A couple days ago I shot this freehand at 25 yrds. The sticker was on bare plywood backboard so the 2 off target didn't come home with me

Hey nice shooting! I have a buddy who works at a certain gun shop that's also here on CGN. I won't say what he paid for his but I will say he got a stellar deal, especially by the apparent accuracy! He hasn't shot it yet but he has tomorrow off......time to get out to the range!

There will likely be a few more show up, keep the CC cocked and loaded and your eyes peeled!

For us Scotians it's nice to have the lube handy when the tax man goes for his.

$540 taxes and shipping in what sponsor was that f55??

reliablegun, as stated used.

A few weeks ago they had a second one but it was more expensive, $550 + tax and shipping.

That is a great price, I have already decided that the FNS9 is going to be my first handgun, now if my Rpal would just show up I would be all over that, best price I have seen by far :(

I won't rub it in. There's no way under $380 taxes in was a good deal. Nope. Not for an FN. definitely not a good deal with 3 mags and an FN range bag thrown in by my lgs

No rubbing it in though :d

You can always pay for it now. Obtain possession when you get your PAL.

Thanks for the advice, the wife's Rpal was issued last week, should be here this week, so we called yesterday and bought one, couldn't pass it up, now we just have to wait until her card shows up and we can do the transfer. I am upgrading from Pal too Rpal, but did some stupid #### in my youth, so I'm expecting mine to take longer to be approved, lol.
