ALPHARMS 15SA Shotgun SPECIAL $555.00 UPDATED Page 35!

How does this weekend sound for a pickup ? Maybe?

We will be very lucky to see them on Friday, more likely Monday and this assumes everything is good with CBSA. Then we have to receive them into our system and check them over so it will be this time next at the earliest. We will be short staffed as three of us will be at IWA for a week.

But maybe?

Haha, we're such a patient group, aren't we?!?!

I've been distracting myself by taking inventory of my current ammo supply, topping up on target load and #4 shot. I'm also thinking about stocking up on some 3" for break in... anyone recommend a good shell that won't break the bank? I was thinking 4 boxes should work to get the ball rolling
Canadian tire has 100 round packs of Winchester 3" number 2 shot 1550 fps 1 1/8 oz for $60 that should be good for break in

Is it recommended that we break these in with 3"? I'm just wondering if it's like the XCR and has a particular method?

Hope they have these in BC otherwise I'll have to burn up some of the $99 per ammo can of 2.75" Federal OO buck I've been saving for the zombie apocalypse.

Wonder what they will actually look like? John is holding fixed stock in the pic on page one, and website picture when you order says " new production gun may not be exactly as shown"..... Front hand guard is totally different in order picture, And yes I realize they are not all fixed stocks.

I'm new to shotguns so more detailed break-in advice would be appreciated.
Exactly what ammo should I use and for how long. Can I use slugs?

John
What lubes, oil/grease/silicone based should be used and where should they be applied? Especially for the break in.

There is no hard and fast rules for break in, just use common sense. Make sure the barrel is clean, she may leave the manufacture with oil in the barrel, so run a dry patch through her. Use a good oil and generously oil all the moving parts. Make sure the barrel retaining nut is tight. I would suggest you put a box of 2 2/3 inch through first, a light load and then use any 2 2/3 load for the next 200 rds, slug is fine. Then feel free to move up to three inch loads. Remember to put a couple of drops of oil on the thread of the choke screw her in snug, do not over tighten. I do not recommend firing slug through the full choke.

We do have some extra chokes in stock and will be running accuracy tests with a rifled slug choke. Watch for results.

We will post photos of the shotgun as soon as we recieve them. Right now only have have reached Winnipeg, thanks Air Canada, so we have lost another day.

Thanks John. I appreciate the information.

Thanks John.

What are the three chokes that are included with the shotgun?

They say on the web page they come with 2 improved 1 full and one of the improved chokes has a flash hider end.

I was curious about if they can get a rifled barrel for sabots also a cylinder bore choke because some buckshot like federal come with a special wad that tightens groups but they shoot best from a cylinder bore barrel. Improved isn't that big a restriction jump tho.
