Tasty caribou and alpine fun in northern BC (dialup beware)

Jaydog,
Great post, great pictures, great story. That's a lot of "greats" but I mean them all.
One question though: How did you manage to put up with Doyle all that time?:) Seriously, I just wish I was young enough to put up with him myself! Oops. I meant "keep up with him and you".

Great hunt and photos . . . post pictures of knife and wife!

Sorry - I skipped over the all important gear!

Rifle: Tikka T3 stainless/synthetic in .270
Scope: Vortex Viper 3-9x40 BDC
Load: 57.5gr of Reloader 22 with 150gr Nosler Partition at 2852 fps and 0.6MOA 100m groups

Some other gear worth mentioning for such a trip:
Mystery Ranch Crew Cab pack- makes heavey loads feel like a bag of feathers.
MSR Hubba Hubba HP tent- 4lbs of stormproof wonder
REI Halo 15 down sleeping bag- It froze every night but I didn't.
Whitebox alcohol stove- 1 ounce water boiling wonder.
My wife's Crocs - they are many sizes too small so fit tight for safe river crossings.
Snugpak jacket and pants- superlight and warm camp clothes after a hard day chasing critters

Wife..... I will see what I can do. ;) She's a keen hunter so I might have something from last fall.

Thanks for the compliments. It was a great time and a big change from coastal hunting.
Hunting with DD? Good hunting partners are hard to find and he brings a fearsome level of enthusiasm to these hunts. Not everyone will let you shoot caribou miles from the closest road and not whinge about it! :D

Fantastic thread and thanks for adding the gear used post - great for newbie hunters like myself. Awesome guys.
