Xander Customs m14 stocks.

His profile fails to come up and he hasn't posted since 2013, probably no longer active. And from my knowledge he was working outa comox on the island and I haven't heard anything about him on the local market. He may still exist, but not in a large scale Id say

Jeez, I completely forgot about that stock! Loved it when it was first released, but I'm really curious why it didn't take off?

Since he's a quitter, could you still go forward with the design on your own accord?

Pretty shady ethics there bud. If S&J bought the design off buddy then yeah, go for it. But any business-minded individual would also expect a royalty too, so it may or may not be worth it.

I've got all the machines needed to give it a run making a self designed m14 chassis. In fact, I completed my blueprints in 2007. Just can't be bothered with it. Way better money doing custom work with those machines. I have a very modern and fully set up composites molding shop as well and there again, even tho I have all the molds of my designs (that I've made before and some new ones) , I make WAY better money running small part runs for custom orders that are non firearm related VS making custom rifle stocks.
I would go out on a limb and say that a great many shops that can make the odd chassis or rifle stock in composite or aluminum are instead doing other work because it's far more profitable and more importantly "predictable"

I'd agree though, the Xander stocks are some of the nicest machined aluminum stocks I've laid eyes on, it is truly too bad they are not available.

ya, if people only knew and embraced the truth about a couple of those banned members LOL but I won't go down that road again hahaha, I also haven't bothered with a US gun forum in several years.
the antics of those who currently represent the "Canadian m14 stock" are folks I want zero to do with and certainly wouldn't encourage anyone else to either. There are reasons guys like me and probably xander and several others I'm aware of, don't even bother. The shenanigans from a certain banned member in particular have left many of us with no taste for it.
I'll stop there before I get an infraction LOL

correct, we have our own design of an m14 stock as well as a bolt action stock system and a 10,22 system, have built our own ar15s complete, the issues is market share and the cost to bring it to market.
Also we make 17 parts for other canadian gun parts makets, so it would be an issue to make some parts.

I was supposed to receive a Xander stock long ago, but it never materialized.

Too bad, it looks like a nice stock.
